Change of ownership timeframes

Optus will finalise the change of ownership within 10 business days of both the existing and new account holders correctly completing the form. Here’s how you will know it’s complete:

Previous account holder

  • You will receive a final bill for any charges incurred before the date of the change
  • The service will no longer appear in My Account

New account holder

  • You will receive a first bill with a new account number
  • You will be able to access the service in My Account
