Stan is a video on demand subscription service that provides access to a wide range of movies, television programs and other audio-visual content streamed over the internet to certain internet connected devices. What can I use to stream Stan?

Stan is available on many internet-connected devices, such as a Fetch Mini, Mighty and 2nd generation set top boxes, computers, consoles, smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets. For a full list, visit this page.

Please Note. Stan is not available if you have a Blackberry or Windows device.

Can I watch Stan on more than one device?

How is Stan data billed?

On your Fixed Home Broadband Plan (excluding Home Wireless Broadband)

From 1st June 2016, if you are using a compatible modem on the Optus Fixed Home Broadband network, streaming Stan content will be unmetered (i.e. it will not count towards your monthly data usage allowance). Other data usage associated with the Stan application / website, such as downloads and uploads, will count towards your monthly data.

On your Mobile Plan (including Home Wireless Broadband)

Stan usage will count towards your data allowance if you are not on an eligible Optus plan or do not have Mobile TV streaming enabled on your service. Similarly, other data usage associated with the Stan application / website, such as downloads, uploads, ads, authentication and app analytics will incur data charges.

If you’re on a Postpaid plan and you go over your monthly data allowance, you’ll be charged for it as per your plan. If you’re on a Prepaid plan, data will be deducted from your recharge credit. If you run out of credit, you'll need to recharge to keep streaming your Stan content.

What if I got the Stan Bonus Subscription offer?

For a limited time, we are offering 3 months access to Stan to selected Optus Perks subscribers. This offer is available to selected Optus customers new to Stan only. Offer ends April 30, 2018.

Selected Optus customers will have received an SMS or email notification from Optus Perks with the 'Get your first 3 months of Stan on us' offer.

Unless you cancel your Stan subscription before the end of your 3 month bonus period, Stan will automatically start charging your subscription immediately after the end of the the trial.
